18 imagesConey Island is always great for people watching, I could sit on the boardwalk all day and just watch the ebb & flow of humanity in all colors, shapes & sizes. But there is another spot that has been a longstanding obsession of mine. On the side of the Nathan’s on Surf Ave., there is a wall by the outside seating area that reflects the sun in such a way that, to me, it is almost supernatural. I just can’t walk past it without stopping to see what’s it’s doing. It changes throughout the day, but my favorite time is towards evening when the sun is low in the sky- it’s the perfect combination of shadows and light, as people walk across its “stage”.
